Ellen Elizabeth Snyder -

Ellen Elizabeth Snyder
September 10, 1936 - January 11, 2026
Ellen Elizabeth Snyder, a resident of Toledo, Ohio, was born on September 10, 1936, in Plymouth, Indiana. Ellen trusted in Christ as her personal Savior at a young age. She was passionate about her faith and shared the gospel with people who came across her path. While serving at a rescue mission, she met her future husband, Pastor Bruce Snyder. They served faithfully together at several different churches for over 60 years.
Ellen, most notably, was a teacher. She was always teaching someone! She taught Home Ec at Emmanuel Christian in Toledo. She also developed a curriculum to teach toddlers in the church nursery. Teaching littles from the time they could sit in a chair and seeing them quote Bible verses was one of her greatest joys. In addition, Ellen mentored future pastors wives when their husbands were attending seminary. Because of her love for Christ, and anticipation of seeing her Savior face-to-face, she, along with her husband, adopted the motto "Perhaps Today." That motto is now her reality. On January 11, 2026, she met her Lord and Savior in Heaven.
Ellen is survived by her five children, Brenda (Bob) Shawver, Bruce (Janice) Snyder, Brent (Sharon) Snyder, Beth (Darrin) White, and Brian (Cindy) Snyder; sixteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She is at peace in Heaven and reunited with faithful loved ones who have preceded her in death. Ellen would tell you that death is not the end. It is just the beginning for those who trust Christ as their personal Savior!
A celebration of life service will be held Monday, January 19th, at 12:30 p.m. Respects can be paid beginning at 11:00 a.m., at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 4207 Laskey Rd., Toledo, Ohio, 43623. Interment will take place at Toledo Memorial Park directly following the service. Condolences for Ellen's family may be expressed online at

Robin Whitzel
11/15/1947 - 12/24/2025
Robin passed away at the age of 78, on December 24, 2025, in the care of Hospice of NW Ohio. She was born in Toledo, OH, on November 15, 1947, to George Rahn and Evelyn Hirst (Watson/Rahn).
Robin lived in Toledo her whole life, graduating from Whitney HS in 1965. Starting off as a server in local restaurants, she then went on to work for Dr. Shaw, then to APS Billing before retiring from Lucas County Child Support after 18 years. Robin loved being retired; she was an avid bowler and was in up to 3 leagues at the same time.
Bowling was fun, however, dancing and good music were her passion. She never let age stop her from showing off her moves that won her "Queen of T Town." Friendships were just as important to her as she would spend hours on Saturdays playing Yahtzee with her best friend, Kathy. Robin was also a great euchre player and a member of the Misfits Euchre Club. You could also catch her cheering on her Buckeyes on Saturdays and her Steelers on Sundays.
Robin is lovingly remembered by her son, Troy (Linda); daughters, Tiffiny and Jodie; grandchildren, Jarrod (Brittany), Carlos (Nichole), Gabrielle, Danielle, and Darienne; eleven great-grandchildren; sisters, Sandy (Ray) and Becky (Roger); nephews, Danny and Alan; great-nieces, Taylor and Kayla; and her fur baby, Pilot.
Robin was preceded in death by her father, George; mother, Evelyn; and grandson, Evon Dixon.
There will be a Celebration of Life held on Saturday, January 17th, from 4-7 p.m., located at Capers, 2038 S. Byrne Rd, Toledo, OH.
Robin asks that any donations go to the Toledo Humane Society or Maumee Valley Save a Pet.
